Fair Manager

The Other Art Fair seeks a Fair Manager to help us grow the East Coast office (Brooklyn and Chicago fairs).

A big vision calls for a big job. As we grow, our need for a Fair Manager grows with us.

You’ll Report To: Fair Director
A typical day as a Fair Manager might include:

40% – Exhibitor Artist Management:
Managing a ‘Call For Artist’ campaign to attract over 500 applications for each edition: communicating with past exhibitors, attending open studios, forming partnerships with local organizations and working with the Marketing Director to create an effective CFA campaign
Overseeing the selection process: sourcing selection committee members; managing voting system; managing communications to artists
Coordinating 130 exhibitors: managing the Critical Path schedule; meeting KPIs; managing contracts, invoices and payments; delivering 12 week exhibitor communications campaign; leading networking socials and practical workshops
Acting as the key contact for artists onsite

40% – Feature Partner Management (not marketing/media partnerships):
Initiating and managing key content-led and community partnerships.
Delivering a varied program of engaging content for the fair (guest artists, installations, immersive experiences, music programming, food + coffee)
Liaise with the Operations Manager to coordinate the logistics for each activation
Liaise with the Marketing Director to coordinate the marketing deliverables for each activation
Acting as the key contact for feature partners onsite

20% – Operations:
Working with the Operations Manager to deliver the fair: installation, deinstallation and run of show.
Managing the floor plan: site visit, curation of fair, placement of artists and partners
Be the point of contact for exhibitors and partners onsite
Sourcing and leading an onsite team of temporary staff
Working onsite at other editions of The Other Art Fair in different cities
