We are looking for 3 artists living in Queens to create 3 large-scale artworks for a new residential development in Long Island City Queens. This commissioned work will be in direct collaboration with an internationally known Architect Company.
What You Should Know Before Applying:
-One site-specific commissioned work per artist.
-Dimensions: 13 ‘ x 22′ (H x L) or 12′ x 13′ (H x L) or 22′ x 19’ (H x L).
-Artists would have to work with with a specific sound-proof acoustic fabric covering the wall as the base material.
-Work can be applied or digitally printed on the fabric.
-Artwork references: colorful, family-friendly, mural, street-Art, hopeful, abstract, bright and related to the Queens community and –
the green space in front of the lobby.
-Artists should be available for a studio visit.
-Each artist will be given a stipend between $5,000 and $10,000.

-Artist Statement (1500 words or less)
-5-10 images of recent work (.jpg, .png, .tiff) that relate to the artist statement
-Artist proposal
