 What is the best piece of advice you can give about working in the art world? 

Accept your station and learn your role but always ask for more when you are ready because no one will ever offer it unless you tell them you want it and pursue it.

What is something you encounter often with employees that tests your patience?

Tardiness. Terrible reflection of character and commitment.

Gave more than what was asked without complaint.

What makes a person hirable?

Good attitude.

What is the most frowned upon trait for an employee?

Complaining, gossip and not asking for help when needed. Major errors that cost time, energy and money can often be avoided if one simply asks for help.

What are things a person can do to make them stand out in the workplace?

Put in those long hours.

What are things you can do proactively to boost your CV?

Get as much experience as possible. Pursue internships while you look for a full-time position and knowledge of current art news. Read NYT Friday Art section and know your critics and museum executive directors.

What does professional mean to you?

A strong commitment to an organization, punctuality, reliability (due diligence), well composed communication and image.

Are there any tips you can give people entering the workforce?

Get a thick skin.

These are crucial since almost all potential employers research your online presence before a hire.
